How to play it

Start slowly and count the pulse out loud before you increase the speed. This original Guitar-Land study focuses on power chord transitions in a classic rock context. Keep the fretting hand relaxed and make every note intentional.

Practice plan

1. Clap the rhythm before playing.
2. Play the first two beats until clean.
3. Loop the full tab for five minutes.
4. Raise the metronome by 5 BPM only when it feels controlled.
5. Record yourself and listen for timing drift.

Common mistakes

Rushing the groove, over-squeezing the fretting hand, ignoring muting noise, and moving to full speed before the riff sounds even.
